Episode 198-Part 1: The Debt Deal, Part 2: Dodgers’ Pride Night

In this episode of the National Crawford Roundtable we discuss the Debt Deal in part 1 and then we’ll look into Dodgers’ Pride Night in part 2.  In Part 1:  the Debt Ceiling Deal “cuts” some spending, but not enough.  Democrat House Leader Hakeem Jeffries says Democrats got “nothing.”  Liberals are raging, but so are some conservatives because it still increases spending.  Democrats got to keep their Student Loan forgiveness, their SNAP Program “no-work requirements” for able-bodied people 49 and older but now it is 54 and older, and they got a military increase of 3.2%.  Newt Gingrich says it’s better than people think because it limits topline spending to 1% annual growth, well below inflation and well below Democrat demands.  It takes back tens of billions in unspent COVID funds.  In raw dollars, it is the largest reduction in spending growth in U.S. history.  It scales back some Green New Deal spending, approves a West Virginia Natural Gas pipeline cuts out most of the new IRS funding for those 87,000 new Agents, and it rejects Biden’s proposed tax increases.  In Part 2: The L.A. Dodgers “Pride Night” is June 16th.  They have apologized to and re-invited the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” (hairy men dressing as sexualized Catholic Nun Drag queens) after having disinvited the order’s LA chapter from its annual Pride Night celebration and rescinded a planned “community hero” award.  Would the MLB allow any club to have a “Mohammed Drag Queen Night” with drag queens dressed in sexualize Hijabs and Burkas?  A Buddha Drag Queen Night?
