10-20-2026 PART 3: Your Failures Are Not Final, and Jesus Is Not Finished

Section 1

Beginning with the devotional “From Failure to Faithfulness,” Dr. Dave reflects on Luke 22:32, where Jesus tells Peter that after turning back, he should strengthen his brothers. Peter denied Jesus three times, yet the Lord restored him and used him to preach the early church’s first sermon. Approaching forty-nine years as a Christian, Dr. Dave shares his own experiences of failure, disappointment, and restoration. After leaving a controlling church environment, he wondered whether he would ever teach or minister again. During an unfamiliar Assembly of God service, a pastor unexpectedly stopped preaching, pointed directly at him, and declared that God would use him in ministry again. That remarkable encouragement became a reminder that God’s calling does not necessarily end when His servants stumble.

Section 2

Looking back over his journey, Dr. Dave recalls another season when ministry appeared finished. Yet God opened the door again, leading to nearly fourteen years of his current radio ministry. He acknowledges mistakes in business and personal decisions, explaining that God’s mercy taught him greater compassion for others. Even Peter needed correction years after his restoration, demonstrating that spiritual growth remains an ongoing process. God continues shaping His children like a potter working with clay. Moving into 1 Peter 3:22, the discussion turns to Jesus Christ, who ascended into heaven and now reigns at the Father’s right hand. Angels, authorities, and powers are subject to Him. Matthew 28:18 confirms that all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Jesus, regardless of how much remains unknown about the heavenly order.

Section 3

The resurrection and ascension did not bring Christ’s ministry to an end. Instead, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to continue His work among believers. Dr. Dave emphasizes that Christians are temples of the Holy Spirit and should actively pursue His guidance. Second Corinthians 13:14 speaks of fellowship with the Spirit, while Galatians 5 provides spiritual fruit through which believers can examine their lives. Meanwhile, Hebrews 7:25 and Romans 8:34 reveal another extraordinary reality: Jesus continually intercedes for His people before the Father. The Savior who possesses all authority personally represents believers in heaven. Rather than allowing anxiety to dominate, Christians should remember that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit remain faithful. Colossians 1:18 establishes Christ’s rightful position above everything. Our failures cannot exhaust God’s mercy, and our circumstances cannot overpower the Savior who reigns over all things and continually intercedes for us.
